Explore untouched wilderness, cultural diversity, and one of Nepal’s least-traveled high-altitude passes with YAYABAR ECO TOURISM Pvt. Ltd.
The Lumba Sumba Pass Trek is a hidden gem in eastern Nepal that connects the Kanchenjunga and Makalu regions through one of the most spectacular and remote Himalayan routes. Reaching a maximum altitude of 5,177 meters, this trek offers a perfect mix of adventure, raw nature, and cultural richness.
You’ll pass through dense forests, rhododendron groves, high mountain valleys, glacial rivers, and traditional villages inhabited by Limbu, Rai, Sherpa, and Tibetan communities. The trek lies within the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and Makalu Barun National Park, making it a biodiversity hotspot with chances to spot red pandas, snow leopards, and Himalayan pheasants.
